At Domaine de Royere you will find an authentic and picturesque farmhouse. It is situated at the edge of a courtyard together with old stables and two historic houses.
The two houses are called ‘Salle de Fleur’ and ‘le Postillon’ and date from the 17th Century. Originally they were part of the country house of Royeres which can be found on the other side of a country lane. The houses convey a rustic charm.
They will be renovated in the near future in an authentic style and refurbished as holiday homes (gîtes). Each will be able to accommodate up to eight guests and the gîtes can be connected if required. At present the dates for the renovation have not been finalized.
The former milking stable, situated at the back of the courtyard is transformed into the gîte ‘Salle de Traîte . It is available for rent from 1 July 2007 onwards and can accommodate 6 guests.
The three gîtes will have all the modern day conveniences, combined with the historic charm of open log fires and candle light conjuring up tales of valiant knights.
A communal sunlit terrace or garden is present for all gîtes, a perfect place to watch activity at the farm. Salle de Fleur and La Postillon also have a woody area at the rear to rest in the shade.
You are most welcome to pitch in with activities at the farm but you can also strike out on your own or enjoy the peace and quiet whilst reading a book. It is a good place to be winter, summer, spring or fall.
